You can read city water reports and filter guides on TapWaterFix without creating an account or providing your name, email, street address, or phone number. We use analytics and advertising services as described below.
/go/), we record a day-bucketed counter for the product slug, the referring page path on our site (when the browser sends a Referer), language (en/es from that path), and a coarse device class (mobile/desktop/tablet/bot/internal_test). For acquisition context we may also store a normalized referrer hostname category (for example google, facebook, or internal — never the full referrer URL), a coarse referrer type (search/social/internal/referral/direct_or_unknown/email/paid), and only allowlisted campaign tokens from utm_source / utm_medium / utm_campaign when present. Arbitrary UTM values are discarded. The first page of a visit may keep a short first-touch category in your browser’s sessionStorage (for example search / social / referring site / direct, a normalized hostname such as google, and whether a paid-click identifier was present — never the identifier itself) so a later product hop can be counted with that landing context; your browser clears it when you close the tab. We do not store IP addresses, full user-agent strings, full referrer URLs, or unique visitor IDs for this purpose. A first-party cookie (pmi_internal) may be set only when an operator arms internal QA mode with a secret token; that cookie marks owner/test hops so they are excluded from public product-interest totals. Ordinary visitors never receive it.We use Microsoft Clarity to understand navigation, clicks, scrolling, and engagement through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity processes page content, interactions, device and browser information, and network information. Cookies and other identifiers may be used depending on consent settings. Microsoft also uses this data to improve its products and services, including advertising; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Form inputs, dropdown values, and sensitive content are masked according to Clarity's masking settings. Replays cover activity on this site, not forms on retailers' websites.
We may keep exported aggregate statistics for longer-term analysis. Browser blocking and consent choices can limit collection.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, page views, navigation, scrolling, and link clicks, including clicks on product links. Google processes information such as page URLs, traffic sources, browser and device details, and activity timestamps. Analytics cookies can distinguish browsers and sessions depending on consent settings. We do not send personal form inputs or calculator selections as custom Google Analytics events. City pages and product-link paths appear in the page and link URLs described above. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our site tag. We may retain daily aggregate reports in our own database for long-term traffic analysis.

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. This is standard third-party ad-serving technology, not something TapWaterFix builds or controls directly.
You can see and adjust how Google personalizes ads for you at Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many third-party advertising networks' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.
Some links to filtration products are referral links. If you purchase through one, TapWaterFix may receive compensation at no additional cost to you. That does not change what you pay or how products are described. Recommendations are based on public water-quality data and stated product characteristics; we do not claim an official partnership with a manufacturer unless one is disclosed. Once you leave TapWaterFix, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
This site is intended for adults researching household water quality and treatment options. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
